Liverpool play their first domestic cup fixture of the season on Tuesday and it is expected that Arne Slot will look to shake up the pack a little, pulling out a few aces with his selection choices.
At least five players are guaranteed to not feature at all, as confirmed by the head coach following the Merseyside Derby on Saturday, since they will have played 270 minutes in the last week alone.

So we're expecting a bit of rotation and some of the options that might be chosen have been assessed in a recent article here. But the academy is full of players who could also get picked.
Prior to the under-21s match against Manchester United on Sunday, four players were left out, which suggests that they might be in line for a promotion to the first-team to play Southampton on Tuesday.
According to Lewis Bower, there were no signs of Kieran Morrison, Tommy Pilling, Jayden Danns or Trey Nyoni for the U21s, which is noteworthy, given the expected shake-up in Liverpool's first-team.
Of course, Nyoni is a regular member of the first team, although the senior midfielders have all been available this week, meaning it's not been necessary for the 18-year-old to sit on the bench, not getting minutes - his services have been better placed in the youth team until he's required to play.
Furthermore, it won't be surprising at all to see Danns make in the fray, since he was heavily involved last year, scoring in the FA Cup and making both his Premier League and Champions League debuts.
In regard to 18-year-old winger Morrison and 21-year-old midfielder Pilling, however, the opportunity to make an impression on Slot for the very first time might be on the cards if they are called upon.
