One Liverpool star looks destined for a contract extension after Arne Slot's recent comments. The boss is a big fan.
Liverpool have another couple of difficult contract situations coming up at the end of the season. This comes after a campaign that was dominated by three expiring contracts.
Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold all went into last season with under a year to go on their deals. Everything dragged on, too, with the trio entering the final six months and fully able to negotiate with other clubs.

Liverpool did eventually get resolutions on all three. Salah and Van Dijk committed to two more years, while Alexander-Arnold jumped ship to Real Madrid.
Those three also happened to be the biggest contracts at Liverpool, too, adding extra drama. Things aren't quite as massive this time around but both Ibrahima Konaté and Andy Robertson are now in their final years.
Konaté does look destined for Real Madrid right now. They're consistently linked with a move and talks with Liverpool aren't going all that well.
As for Robertson, some new quotes from Arne Slot appear to suggest he's staying.
Per David Lynch, Robertson has been named vice-captain at Liverpool. Slot confirmed the decision late this week, before explaining why he’d chosen the Scot.
“He's played here so many years, won the league twice,” said Slot. "It was Virgil, Trent, Robbo, Mo last season, and Trent left, so there are logical reasons for [him being appointed].
“Apart from that, why is he the second captain? Because he's a very good player, plays many games, knows what it takes, but also knows the culture of the club and the dressing room.
“Apart from all the quality he's shown on the pitch, he also plays a big role in the culture we have here at this club which - I've said this many times last season - is the biggest gift I could get from Jurgen [Klopp]."
