Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala but face competition with the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid for him.
Musiala has less than two years left on his current contract and the article suggests that Bayern are finding it tough to tie down a new deal with club director Max Erbel admitting it’s “difficult but not impossible”.
The German international had a fantastic European Championship campaign, scoring three goals and most recently in the UEFA Nations League, he notched up a goal and three assists in two games.
Musiala has also started the domestic season well with two goals and two assists across all competitions for Munich. He is valued at around £110m.
However, Bayern have already valued their starlet if he is to leave, and whoever manages to secure his services will have to pay a huge fee.
Van Dijk
Liverpool’s captain Virgil van Dijk has been a fantastic servant to the club since he joined in 2018, but his time in Merseyside could soon be coming to an end.
The 33-year-old has less than a year remaining on his current deal and if no agreement is reached over an extension, could leave Merseyside for free at the end of this season.
Although Liverpool are reportedly keen to kick-off negotiations over a new deal, there is no guarantee that the two parties will be able to come to an agreement and this could be Virgil’s last season at Anfield.
With the defender's future up in the air, all-time Dutch legend Clarence Seedorf has had his say on what he believes the future holds for Van Dijk.
Former Premier League forward Troy Deeney’s role as a pundit for BBC Sport includes releasing the BBC’s PL Team of the Week (TOTW).
The Watford legend’s TOTW actually didn’t include any Forest players even after beating Liverpool for the first time at Anfield since 1969.
One defender though was included who had a solid game for Brighton and Hove Albion against Ipswich Town and Deeney believes he could end up at Anfield.
Trent Alexander-Arnold Jude Bellingham
Trent Alexander-Arnold is yet to sign a new Liverpool contract and has been speaking with Jude Bellingham amid negotiations about his life in Madrid.
The Liverpool star has been one of Liverpool’s best players over the last few years, however is currently set to be available on a free transfer in the summer. Real Madrid is viewed as the most likely destination, with the right back able to sign a pre-contract with non-English clubs as early as January.
However whilst contract talks are ongoing, Trent has been “constantly talking” to Bellingham about Madrid according to a report from The Independent.
Loic Bade Sevilla
The man at the heart of Liverpool’s defence, Virgil van Dijk, has been a colossus for the club since his move to Merseyside in 2018 but the Dutchman’s time at Liverpool could soon be coming to an end.
It was revealed last week by Fichajes that Liverpool were interested in singing Seville’s Loic Bade, who could be a valid option as Liverpool look to fill the hole that could be left by Van Dijk’s departure.
Now Matteo Moretto, writing for Football Espana, has revealed that reports of Liverpool’s interest in Bade may be wide of the mark.
