PSG endured a nightmare first half against Bayern Munich, conceding twice to Luis Diaz. Things quickly went downhill when Achraf Hakimi went down injured following a tackle from Diaz.
Hakimi left the field in tears, unable to put any weight on his left foot and needing assistance to make his way off. After a VAR check, Diaz was shown a straight red card, forcing Bayern Munich to play the entire second half with 10 men.
Despite the advantage, PSG managed to find the net only once. The contest would end with the German side leaving the Parc des Princes with a 2-1 win over Luis Enrique and his team.

While it’s not ideal to lose, the bigger situation after the loss is what’s the latest regarding the injury to Hakimi. After the match, Enrique spoke to the media and shared his reaction to his star right-back going down with what appears to be a long-term injury.
“We have to wait until tomorrow after the tests to know about the players’ injuries,” Enrique said at his press conference (h/t RMC Sport). “For Ousmane, it has nothing to do with the previous one. But he played for the time you saw. Hakimi’s situation is part of football — it’s a contact sport. It’s unfortunate. It’s tough for the players. I remember, for example, Musiala’s injury. Tomorrow will be the day when the doctors provide updates.”
Moreover, Enrique shared his thoughts on Bayern Munich’s performance against his PSG squad.
“With 11 against 11, Bayern was stronger, without a doubt,” Enrique told Canal Plus. “We gave the opponent some very nice gifts in the first half. We could have conceded more. In the second half, it was different because we had an extra player. I cannot talk about the future. We know our schedule is the toughest. The upcoming matches will be difficult.”
