West Ham United are in talks today to re-sign former goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, according to ExWHUemployee.

West Ham have parted with third-choice goalie Wes Foderingham, with the Englishman leaving the London Stadium club to join Cypriot top-flight club Aris Limassol on a permanent transfer.

As a result, the Hammers want to bolster their options in goal and the reliable Hammers insider – ExWHUemployee – has claimed on the West Ham Way Patreon that talks are ongoing between the club and Fabianski.

The East London club parted with the 40-year-old Polish goalie after seven seasons at the end of last season.

He has remained without a club and is set to rejoin them as a free signing.

West Ham signed Mads Hermansen from Leicester City earlier in the summer but were strongly linked with signing another goalkeeper following his underwhelming start to the 2025-26 season.

The Dane conceded eight goals in the opening two league games of the new campaign.

Second-choice goalie Alphonse Areola did not cover himself in glory in the 3-2 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup.

West Ham manager Graham Potter retained his trust in Hermansen against Nottingham Forest, with the club keeping a clean sheet in the 3-0 victory.

However, the Hammers boss knows he needs a quality cover and competition for the former Leicester star, and Fabianski has emerged as an option.

The former Arsenal goalie made 17 appearances across all competitions last term and still fancies his chances of proving his reliability in the Premier League.

Fabianski brings loads of experience and quality to the table, and Hermansen could learn one or two from the veteran goalkeeper.

The summer arrival is expected to keep his place in the starting XI, but the Hammers need someone capable of stepping in and performing if need be, and the Pole fits the bill.
