Lyon’s Tanner Tessmann not receptive to Brentford interest | OneFootball

A French recruiter, working for a Premier League club, has told L’Équipe that he believes that Olympique Lyonnais are looking to offload Tanner Tessmann (24), however, the USMNT midfielder is not necessarily entirely receptive to the interest shown, the publication adds. 

Tessmann is a regular for Lyon. The midfielder has played 33 games in all competitions already this season, scoring twice in that time, however, there is a feeling that his play style is not entirely aligned with what Paulo Fonseca wants from his midfielders.

The aforementioned recruiter states, however, that Tessmann remains highly rated in the Premier League. It is there that the USMNT midfielder may have a future. Back in the winter transfer window, Brentford showed an interest in the player, L’Équipe understands, however, that interest was not necessarily mutual. 

The former Venezia midfielder’s contract with Les Gones runs until the summer of 2029.
