Manchester United have been named as one of the clubs interested in acquiring the services of Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi.
The 25-year-old has been plying his trade with the Serie A champions since the summer of 2023. But despite being a regular starter with the Italian national team, the Roman remains a second-choice option at Simone Inzaghi’s court. This is mainly because the Nerazzurri manager is spoiled for choice in the middle of the park, and he still prefers the superb trio of Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Nevertheless, Frattesi remains an important player in Inzaghi’s selections due to his reliability and relentless displays. He also has a knack for scoring decisive late winners after coming off the bench.
So while Inter would love to keep Frattesi on the long term, the player could be tempted by the opportunity to play regular football elsewhere, especially with top European clubs knocking on the door.
According to TEAMTalk, Newcastle have identified the Italy international who is valued at €50 million as the ideal profile to replace Bruno Guimaraes who is heavily linked with a move to Manchester City next summer.

Nevertheless, the source insists that the Magpies aren’t alone in the race, as Man Utd and Tottenham Hotspur have also inquired about the Inter player, while Roma would like to bring their academy product back home.
That being said, the report believes Inter have no plans to deprive themselves of the midfielder’s services who remains important to the cause despite his scarce number of starts. The Italian champions have armoured the player with a contract valid until June 2028 after buying him from Sassuolo.
This season, Frattesi has made 21 appearances across all competitions, with the vast majority coming off the bench. He has thus far contributed with three goals and an assist.
