Rúben Amorim’s decision to leave Alejandro Garnacho out of last month’s Manchester derby has sparked speculation about the forward’s future at Manchester United.

The Daily Mail reported that Garnacho is no longer seen as “untouchable” at United, drawing interest from top European clubs like Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan, Real Madrid, and Barcelona.

While a transfer doesn’t seem likely at the moment, United could entertain offers starting at around £70 million. However, clubs like Atletico Madrid and Juventus may struggle to meet that asking price right now.

Journalist Steve Kay has revealed that Tottenham recently made a serious inquiry into Garnacho’s availability. Meanwhile, CaughtOffside reported that Atletico Madrid, Garnacho’s former club, along with PSG and Juventus, are all monitoring his situation closely.

Although United may consider selling if the right offer comes in, Atletico and Juventus could face challenges in meeting the club’s valuation.

Should a PSG player be on Man Utd’s transfer radar?

While it’s unlikely that the Red Devils will sell Garnacho this January, the possibility could exist in the summer if nothing happens in these next few days. Should the Red Devils sell the attacking player, the Manchester Evening News’ Blake Keeble believes that PSG’s Désiré Doué should be on their radar as a replacement.

“Just last summer, Paris Saint-Germain fended off interest from a host of clubs including United to secure a deal for Rennes starlet Desire Doue, worth roughly £46 million,” Keeble wrote. “The Frenchman has started just five Ligue 1 fixtures this season and with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia arriving to steal his place on the left wing, the teenager could be made available again.”

Napoli recently had a £40 million offer for Garnacho turned down, but according to Tuttosport, they’ve now submitted a second, improved bid.

The report claims that Antonio Conte’s side has offered €55 million (£46.5m / $56.7m) for the Manchester United star. Garnacho is said to have agreed to personal terms with Napoli for a five-year deal worth €3 million (£2.5m / $3.1m) per year.

However, Manchester United are reportedly holding firm on their £60 million asking price and are not willing to let him go for less this month.
