A double of individual Premier League awards have been handed to Manchester City following their results in the competition during the month of February, 2026.

City enjoyed a highly productive February, recording four wins and a draw to maintain pressure on league leaders Arsenal. The month began with a gritty 2–2 draw away at Tottenham, before a pivotal 1-2 comeback victory over Liverpool at Anfield.

In the latter match, late goals from Bernardo Silva and an Erling Haaland penalty secured Manchester City’s first win at the Merseyside stadium in front of a full crowd since 2003, reigniting their ongoing Premier League title charge.

Momentum continued at the Etihad with back-to-back home victories, starting with a routine 3–0 win over Fulham where Antoine Semenyo and Nico O’Reilly shone, followed by a tense 2–1 triumph against Newcastle, defined by a standout performance from O’Reilly’s brace.

The month concluded on a high note as Pep Guardiola’s side secured a hard-fought 0-1 away win at Leeds, leaving City firmly in second place on 60 points from 29 games, having successfully narrowed the gap to Arsenal.

Antoine Semenyo: From January Signing to Player of the Month

Now, it has been announced that Antoine Semenyo‘s first full month as a Manchester City player in February has seen him rewarded with the Premier League’s Player of the Month award, defeating competition from teammate Nico O’Reilly.

The Ghanaian forward also fended off competition from Arsenal’s Viktor Gyokeres, Brentford’s Dango Ouattara, Manchester United’s Benjamin Sesko, and Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dijk to claim the prize.

Semenyo delivered a series of clinical performances that proved vital, showcasing his versatility in alternating between the wings and a central role. His month was headlined by an instinctive opener and a pinpoint assist for Nico O’Reilly in the victory over Fulham, followed by the match-winning goal at Leeds.

By the end of the month, Semenyo had already tallied six goals for his new club, with Guardiola publicly praising the forward’s relentless out-of-possession intensity and his ability to thrive in the chaos of the Premier League title race.

Reacting to news of Semenyo’s success, Pep Guardiola told reporters on Friday afternoon, “I’m so happy for him, an incredible guy, he deserves it. I’m so happy for him!”

Pep Guardiola Ends Four-Year Drought with Managerial Honour

Elsewhere, Pep Guardiola himself has claimed an award through the Premier League’s Manager of the Month honour ahead of Brentford’s Keith Andrews, Manchester United’s Michael Carrick, and Liverpool’s Arne Slot – remarkably his first such prize since December, 2021.

By claiming the award, Guardiola is now also third for the most such prizes in the Premier League, behind only Manchester United and Arsenal managerial legends Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger and overtaking current Everton boss David Moyes in the process.

Donnarumma’s Anfield Heroics Misses Save of the Month

Narrowly avoiding the completion of a treble success for the club from February, Gianluigi Donnarumma‘s match-winning save at Anfield to deny a staggering long-range effort from Alexis Mac Allister only received a nomination for Save of the Month.

Donnarumma delivered a series of world-class performances, instrumental in the 1-2 win at Anfield, whilst also keeping clean sheets in the 3–0 win over Fulham and the 1–0 victory at Leeds United, and making six saves to deny Newcastle at the Etihad.
