Manchester City are reportedly aiming to sign Arsenal youth player Mishel Nduka this summer.
The 16-year-old Gunners starlet is out of contract today having joined from Charlton Athletic last summer.
The Emirates Stadium club have offered him improved terms as they see him as a future Arsenal star.
However, Man City are hoping to lure Nduka away from North London, with the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool also interested.
The Arsenal academy midfielder has been dubbed ‘one of the top midfielders in England’, and more suitors could emerge once it becomes clear he will not remain at Hale End beyond this summer.
Man City view Nduka as a perfect replacement if they lose two of their youth midfielders this summer.
Xavier Parker and David Eze are likely to leave the Etihad Stadium club, with Man City’s Premier League rivals eyeing both midfielders.
Several changes are expected at academy level at Arsenal and across other clubs in England this summer, and every side will hope to get the best players capable of turning into Premier League stars in the near future.
Gunners academy starlet Emerson Nwaneri is one of those who could leave Arsenal this summer.
His family are not convinced he has a clear pathway to the senior squad and there are now concerns he may not sign his scholarship and leave this summer.
The 15-year-old is the youngest-ever player to start for Arsenal’s under-21s, playing in a Premier League 2 game against Liverpool at the age of 15 years and 152 days.
He has represented the Gunners at under-19s and under-18s level but could be plying his trade elsewhere alongside Nduka.
