Manchester City have two players unavailable for their match against Juventus. Rico Lewis is suspended for the match at the Camping World Stadium. Lewis will serve the second match of his three-game suspension for the red card he received against Wydad AC today.
Pep Guardiola informed the media during his pre-game press conference that Claudio Echeverri will be sidelined for two to three weeks. Echeverri sustained an ankle injury in the first half of Manchester City’s 6-nil win over Al Ain.
Guardiola also told the media that Rodri isn’t yet ready to start matches for his team. But the Manchester City manager is hopeful that Rodri can play a role off the bench in Orlando.
Ederson: I expect Ederson to return in goal for Manchester City against Juventus.
Abdukodir Khusanov: Khusanov impressed on the right-hand side of Manchester City’s defence against Al Ain. Today’s match may be an opportunity to try Khusanov in a similar position against a higher-quality opponent.
Ruben Dias: Dias has been eased into the tournament but I expect him to start against Juventus.
Nathan Ake: Ake needs minutes after a long injury layoff so I wouldn’t be surprised if he started gainst the Serie A giants.
Rayan Ait-Nouri: The Algerian international was impressive in his City debut against Al Ain. He should start at left-back at the Camping World Stadium.
Bernardo Silva: Being Manchester City’s captain, Bernardo will likely start today’s match.
Tijjani Reijnders: The Dutch international was rested against Al Ain. He should return to the starting lineup in a must-win game for Manchester City.
Rayan Cherki: The French international put in a superb performance off the bench against Al Ain. He’s in form and deserves to start against Juventus.
Phil Foden: Foden has looked to be back to his best so far at the FIFA Club World Cup. He will have a key role to play today if he does start.
Omar Marmoush: Another player who was rested against Al Ain. Marmoush figures to be in Manchester City’s best eleven, so he should start today as I’m expecting Pep Guardiola to play something near his strongest eleven.
Erling Haaland: Haaland converted a penalty against Al Ain but he does seem to need to score a goal from open play. I expect him to start today with a point to prove against Juventus.
