In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Manchester United are ready to move in for Real Madrid star Federico Valverde. It has been stated that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to acquire the services of the Uruguay international this summer.
Valverde has enjoyed a great campaign at the La Liga club as he has been responsible for putting in a run of impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The 27-year-old has banged in nine goals and earned 13 assists in 48 matches for Real Madrid this season in various competitions.
The Uruguay international is currently one of the best box-to-box midfielders in European football. Therefore, it is no surprise that Man United are in the running to land him at the end of this season.
His current contract at the Madrid club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Red Devils to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Valverde is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind clearing the danger when required and can even create the odd chance for his teammates in the final third.
The Uruguay international can shoot the ball with venom from long range and is an energetic runner with the ball. Valverde can contribute by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team going forward. However, it remains to be seen whether he can make a smooth transition to life in England.
We can expect Valverde to add more energy and dynamism to Manchester United boss Michael Carrick’s midfield. He has what it takes to fight for regular first-team football at Old Trafford in the coming years.
At 27, Valverde is about to enter his prime, which makes him a dream option for the Red Devils to consider at the end of this season. He might even help the Mancunian club compete for some major honours over the next few years. With all things considered, Carrick would be wise to launch a move for him in this summer transfer window.
