Manchester United are competing with Chelsea for the signature of Karim Adeyemi.
The Red Devils are planning to overhaul their midfield, as Casemiro will leave and Manuel Ugarte faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford.
But they are also in the market for a winger, with Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho expected to depart permanently.
United have identified Adeyemi as a top summer target, as they feel his pace is ideal for the Premier League.
However, the Manchester titans face competition from Chelsea and Newcastle United, who are both keen on the Bundesliga star (Fussballdaten).
The Blues are reportedly open to offers for Alejandro Garnacho, despite the Argentine joining just last summer from Manchester United.
They also have Pedro Neto and Jamie Gittens on their books, but could look to add another forward if Garnacho leaves.
Adeyemi has been a key first-team player for Borussia Dortmund since joining in 2022.
He has made 144 appearances across all competitions, bagging 36 goals and 24 assists.
The winger has featured 26 times in the Bundesliga this campaign, although 11 of them have come off the bench.
Adeyemi’s contract at the Signal Iduna Park will expire in 2027, and he is yet to agree to a new deal.
He reportedly has tactical differences with head coach Niko Kovac.
The 24-year-old is also not happy at being substituted by the German boss.
