Ruben Amorim is under more pressure than ever as Manchester United host Chelsea in the Premier League.
He has reportedly been given three games to save his job, and will be desperate to brighten the mood at Old Trafford with a win.
United showed brief flashes of quality in last weekend’s Manchester Derby loss, and Amorim will be ready to rotate as he pushes on in search of a winning formula.
After another unconvincing performance in goal from Altay Bayindir, it could be time for Senne Lammens to make his debut after moving from Royal Antwerp on Deadline Day.
Luke Shaw had a difficult time in the Manchester derby as he marked Erling Haaland, and could be dropped in favour of Harry Maguire, who has not started since facing Grimsby in the Carabao Cup.
There is a decision to make in midfield, too, as Kobbie Mainoo is in line to start after impressing off the bench against City.
Speaking ahead of that match, Amorim said he thought Mainoo needed to improve in some areas, but added that he believed in the midfielder’s potential.
The 20-year-old’s mobility reinvigorated United somewhat in the late stages of that derby defeat, and he deserves a chance as Manuel Ugarte continues to struggle.
Benjamin Sesko also struggled to impress against City, just his second start for his new club. Amorim will be inclined to give him another chance to impress as he chases a first goal in red.
Matheus Cunha is thought to be nearing a return from his hamstring injury and could be involved, but is unlikely to be fit to start.
Mason Mount and Diogo Dalot are also on the mend but have not yet returned to training, while Lisandro Martinez is a long-term absentee.
Predicted Man United XI (3-4-2-1): Lammens; Maguire, De Ligt, Yoro; Dorgu, Fernandes, Mainoo, Mazraoui; Diallo, Mbeumo; Sesko
Doubts: Cunha
Injured: Mount, Dalot, Martinez
