Omar Marmoush scored a penalty as Egypt beat Ethiopia 2-0 in their World Cup qualifier at the Cairo International Stadium on Friday.
Our man played the first 63 minute as part of a hyper attacking midfield unit in support of No.9 Osama Faisal.
Liverpool's Mo Salah opened the scoring from the penalty spot after 41 minutes before Marmoush replicated that from 12 yards on the stroke of half-time.
Egypt now enjoy a commanding position in Group A of the African qualifying process for next summer's FIFA World Cup.
They have 19 points from seven games, five points better than second place Burkina Faso with three matches to go.
The challengers are Egypt's next opponents, hosting them in Ouagadougou on Tuesday 9 September.
Marmoush has scored eight goals in 27 games since arriving at City in January, while he now has seven goals in 38 games for his national team.
We'll have recaps of every international involving a City player during this window on mancity.com and our official app.
