Matias Soulé update as Crystal Palace ‘to sign’ Oscar Mingueza on a free | OneFootball

Sunderland’s enquiry for Roma playmaker Matias Soulé remains at an early stage, while Crystal Palace are reportedly set to land Oscar Mingueza.

Sunderland Echo reports that interest in the 22-year-old is only a tentative enquiry with no negotiations under way, and that he is not considering offers for now.

The situation could change later in the window if Roma make a major signing in his position. For now Sunderland are monitoring, while they continue to assess options for a significant Premier League and European campaign under Régis Le Bris.

Soulé joined Roma from Juventus last summer after a productive loan at Frosinone. The left-footed playmaker is widely viewed as one of Serie A’s brighter young attackers.

Sunderland’s recruitment often targets young players with growth potential, but any pursuit of Soulé appears complex given his stance and Roma’s view.

Elsewhere, Spanish international Oscar Mingueza, previously linked with Sunderland, Newcastle United, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Everton and Fulham, is reportedly heading to Crystal Palace on a free transfer after talks with several clubs.
