Right now, lots of unhappy Chelsea fans are wondering what it will take to get Liam Rosenior sacked.
They’re convinced he’s not the right man to take the team forward – but every brief is saying he’s safe in his job, even if the team miss out on Champions League football.
On the London is Blue podcast this week, Telegraph journalist Matt Law did outline out scenario where he could see the latest Chelsea coach dismissed:
“Just missing out on the Champions League won’t end up with him being sacked. But a sort of meltdown, something going horribly wrong would,” Law reported.
“I suspect that sort of scenario, finishing outside the top six and only picking up eight points [from the remaining games], I think that would leave him in peril.”
With Man U coming tomorrow and some tough games to follow, it’s not an impossible scenario at all if the spiral of bad results continue.
You can see him make his point in the clip embedded here:
Matt Law pointed out that, if two main players from Chelsea’s squad are willing to question the project, there must be others doing similar things.
Despite question marks about the project, players can be persuaded with new contracts.
