Memphis Depay celebrated his 32nd birthday in São Paulo on Friday night alongside Corinthians players and training centre staff. According to Meu Timao, friends, squad members and club employees joined the forward for the get together, repeating last year's gesture.

The 2026 theme was 'All black Matrix', inspired by the hit 2000s franchise. Guests were asked to wear all black with a futuristic, cyberpunk look, and several attendees posted their outfits on social media.

In 2025, the No 10 staged a gala at Palácio dos Cedros in the Ipiranga neighbourhood. On that occasion he covered the cost of attire for staff who did not have suitable clothing.

It is not the first time the squad have gathered to celebrate this season. After lifting the Supercopa Rei earlier this month, players, coaches and staff held a private dinner in a São Paulo restaurant, where president Osmar Stabile brought the Paulista, the 2025 Copa do Brasil and the 2026 Supercopa trophies.

Attention now returns to the push for a Paulistão quarter-final place. Corinthians visit São Bernardo at Primeiro de Maio on Sunday at 20:30 in the final round of the group stage.

To avoid relying on other results, Corinthians must win.
