Liverpool welcome Crystal Palace to Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday, aiming to bolster their Champions League qualification aspirations.

A win would move the Reds eight points clear of sixth-placed Brighton & Hove Albion.

Mohamed Salah will be aiming to continue his recent form, having scored in the last three league starts.

He netted the opener in the 2-1 victory at Everton last weekend, equalling the most goals (nine) scored in the Merseyside derby in the Premier League era.

Salah could also equal another record against Palace, becoming the first player aged 33 or over to score in four consecutive Premier League starts since Cristiano Ronaldo.

If he scores, they would become the ninth team he would have reached double figures against in the competition.

Only Alan Shearer has scored at least 10 goals against more opponents (12) in Premier League history.

Salah will be hoping to deliver another superb performance as his time at Liverpool draws to a close.

Palace are unbeaten in their last four visits to Anfield, having lost five on the bounce before this run.

Ismaila Sarr has been a thorn in their side, scoring seven goals in nine games against them – his second-highest tally against any Premier League opposition.

Despite Palace’s brilliant recent form in this fixture, Liverpool are the favourites to win the game.
