Monaco line up five friendlies, Sporting CP and Liverpool, before Conference League play-off | OneFootball

According to L'Équipe, Monaco will play five pre-season friendlies, including Sporting CP and Liverpool, and hold a camp at St George's Park from 9 to 14 August, before a Conference League play-off on 20 and 27 August.

The club, now led by Filipe Luis, has set out its full pre-season programme. They will return to St George's Park for a third time, their last visit came last summer under Adi Hütter.

The warm-up begins against Saint-Priest of the fourth tier at La Turbie on 18 July at 10:30. Monaco then face Sporting CP in Lisbon on Saturday 25 July at 20:30, at the José Alvalade Stadium. Next is Cercle Bruges at La Turbie on Friday 31 July at 17:00.

Getafe visit Stade Louis-II on Thursday 6 August at 20:00, then Liverpool host Monaco at Anfield on Sunday 9 August at 15:30 to open the British camp. The camp is expected to conclude with a sixth and final match, with the opponent still to be announced.

After two days of medicals, Luis and his staff got to work on Wednesday morning with 33 players at La Turbie. Addressing the squad in English, the former Brazil international set an energetic tone, even joining drills and at times finishing out of breath.
