Monaco’s Paul Pogba available to face Marseille | OneFootball

Having taken part in a friendly against Brentford’s U23s during the international break, Paul Pogba (33) is now available for selection for AS Monaco, Sébastien Pocognoli has confirmed. 

La Pioche has not played a single minute for Monaco since sustaining a calf injury at the start of December. Since joining the Principality club in the summer, signing a two-year deal following the end of his doping ban, the Frenchman has only accumulated 30 minutes of playing time.

However, there is now hope that he can feature more prominently between now and the end of the season. “He is available, yes,” said Pocognoli ahead of Sunday’s game against Olympique de Marseille. “There are still three sessions before that game. He has been continuously training with the team since the start of the international break. It is a possibility (that he plays against OM).”

In a press conference attended by Get French Football News, the Monaco manager confirmed that Kassoum Ouattara will be out for “several weeks”, although he did not speak about the Frenchman’s season being over. Nice-Matin reported earlier in the day that the full-back would be out until the end of the season with a knee issue.
