Samsunspor stunned Galatasaray 4-1 on Saturday at Samsun Yeni 19 Mayıs Stadyumu to extend their Süper Lig winning run to four and check the leaders' momentum.
Yunus Akgün put the leaders ahead in the ninth minute, rifling in from the right after Victor Osimhen's pass. Marius Mouandilmadji levelled (22.) with a low strike on the break from Yalcin Kayan's assist.
After the restart, Cherif Ndiaye restored the hosts' advantage (57.) from the centre of the box, set up by Mouandilmadji. Moments later, Aslan lost goalkeeper Günay Güvenc to a straight red for handball (63.), and the game tilted.
Mouandilmadji added a classy second (71.) from Kayan's through ball before Ndiaye sealed it from a tight angle late on (82.). Before the dismissal, Leroy Sané struck the post and Okan Kocuk produced sharp stops as chances flowed.
Samsunspor registered eight shots on target from 13 attempts and had 54.9% possession. Aslan finished with three efforts on target from 13 attempts.
Samsunspor visit Başakşehir next. Aslan host Antalyaspor.
