Endrick is preparing to return to Real Madrid this season after completing a loan spell at Lyon, determined to establish himself in the first team rather than head out on another temporary move.

The 19-year-old Brazilian believes he is ready to compete for a regular role at the Santiago Bernabeu after gaining valuable experience in France.

At the very least, he hopes to enjoy significantly more playing time than he managed under Xabi Alonso.

Roma Monitoring the Situation

While Endrick’s preference is to remain at Real Madrid, interest from other clubs continues to grow.

According to Il Messaggero (h/t Mundo Deportivo), AS Roma are closely following the Brazilian’s situation and see him as a potential reinforcement for the upcoming season.

The Serie A club where Mourinho worked previously value Endrick’s talent and believe he could make an immediate impact in Italy.

However, their interest would only materialise if a loan deal became possible, as a permanent transfer is not under consideration.

Mourinho yet to decide

Much will depend on Mourinho’s plans for the new campaign. The Portuguese coach must decide whether Endrick or academy striker Gonzalo will serve as Kylian Mbappe’s primary backup in attack.

However, Endrick’s versatility could work in his favour, as Mourinho is also believed to view him as an option on the right wing, where his pace, dribbling ability and direct style could offer something different.

The coming weeks of pre-season are therefore expected to play a crucial role in determining the youngster’s role within the squad.

The teenage striker is currently away on vacation after international duty with Brazil at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The tournament was far from memorable for Endrick as he was not used regularly by manager Carlo Ancelotti. He was also guilty of missing a gilt-edged chance in their Round of 16 clash against Norway leading to the Selecao’s elimination.

For now, Endrick remains focused on convincing Mourinho that he deserves a place in Real Madrid’s plans.

But with several European clubs monitoring his situation, his future could become one of the more intriguing stories of the summer transfer window.
