Moya secures win for Real España over Diriangén

SAN PEDRO SULA, Honduras – The 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup continued with Real España winning 1-nil against Cacique Diriangén FC in Group B on Wednesday at Estadio Francisco Morazán in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
Brayan Moya scored the lone goal of the match, and the winner for Real España, in the 64’, capitalizing on a rebound inside the box to score from close range following a corner kick opportunity.
Real España goalkeeper Luis López had a vital intervention in the 90’+3’ to deny an equalizer for Diriangén, saving a shot from Rodolfo Montiel from the center of the box.
Yeison Moreno nearly doubled the lead for Real España seconds after at the other end, but his left-footed attempt from outside the box was met by a save from Diriangén goalkeeper Brayan Rodríguez.
López had a standout performance for Real España, concluding the match with four saves and the clean sheet.
Real España will conclude its Group Stage participation in search of a top two finish in Group B when it hosts Sporting San Miguelito next Thursday.
Diriangén FC exits the 2025 edition with 1-1-2 record, with its final standing in the group to be decided on the final matchday. The Nicaraguan side is unable to advance to the Knockout Round.
