‘My brother’ – Vinícius Jr. sends message of support to returning Real Madrid teammate | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. on Saturday took to social media, to send a message of backing and congratulations the way of a defensive teammate.

The player in question? Ferland Mendy.

Left-back Mendy is for his part in the midst of an altogether positive week to date.

Sidelined since last season owing to a pair of injury problems, the Frenchman was at last given the green light to rejoin the rest of Xabi Alonso’s squad in training at Valdebebas.

So often sidelined over recent seasons, as much no doubt marked a major source of relief for Mendy and those around him alike.

And as alluded to above, equally delighted with the news of his teammate’s return to fitness is Vinícius Jr.

Taking to his official Instagram account on Saturday, winger Vinícius unveiled a photo of he and Mendy, accompanied by the caption:

‘The general is back again. My brother, Ferland Mendy’
