Wolves chairman Nathan Shi told supporters the club is ready to respond after relegation to the Championship was confirmed.
After eight top-flight seasons, Wolves will compete in the Championship in 2026/27, having sat bottom of the Premier League throughout, according to ExpressAndStar.com.
Jeff Shi departed in December and fellow Fosun employee Nathan Shi stepped in as interim chairman. His title is unchanged, and he is expected to be given the chance to lead a crucial summer.
Shi said confirmation of the drop is a difficult moment for everyone connected to the club. He added that planning has been ongoing since his arrival in December to ensure a clear, decisive response.
He said they are clear on the improvements needed, with the focus on strengthening, building momentum and creating a team supporters can believe in. He added they will approach the months ahead with purpose.
Shi also recognised the strain on fans’ loyalty, thanked them for unwavering backing home and away, and accepted they deserve better. He said restoring pride in the club will drive decision-making from this point.
