A national team manager has reportedly threatened a Chelsea player after he failed to follow some instructions.
It sounds more like a case of tough love rather than anything too dramatic or serious, but this kind of thing, if true of course, can happen with young players. And we know that Chelsea have many of them within the ranks these days.
But Estevao Willian is not the first player you would think about when you here of a Chelsea player not following instructions and doing his own thing. Estevao does not appear to have any kind of ego and he seems to be a very professional player with a top mentality.
However, apparently he didn’t follow the instructions of Brazil boss Carlo Ancelotti and received a bit of a dressing down as a result.

Globo Esporte reported that during the October window in South Korea, Estêvão got on the wrong side of Ancelotti.
Reports in Brazil say a tactical drill stopped twice because the midfielder didn’t follow an instruction. Ancelotti wanted him to press the full-back as soon as the ball moved wide.
When Estêvão hesitated again, Ancelotti reacted sharply: “I only say something once. Either you do what I’m telling you to do or you’re out of the team!”
The outburst surprised some players and staff, but it stayed as an isolated moment.
We know from his time at Chelsea that he is usually an arm around the shoulder kind of manager and has good man-management skills. But if this is true, it seems that even the gentle Ancelotti has a tough side and he will use it if he needs to.
It certainly seems like a case of tough love for a young player who everyone is raving about right now.
