Newcastle United have been linked with AC Milan defender Malick Thiaw according to reports.
The German international has already been close to leaving the Milan side this transfer window after being strongly linked with a move to Como that eventually fell through.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Thiaw is on the radar of the Magpies who are set to 'open discussions' for the 23-year-old.
Last season wasn't Thiaw's best but the 23-year-old is still considered to have a high ceiling and is a part of AC Milan's plans for next season.
The former Schalke man played 31 times for AC Milan last season, scoring once – away to Real Madrid in a Champions League victory.
