Newcastle United release details of UEFA Youth League match v Athletic Bilbao | OneFootball

Details of the Newcastle v Athletic Bilbao match in the UEFA Youth League have been released.

An official release from Newcastle United announcing (see below) that the game will be played on Wednesday 5 November.

The NUFC Under 19s playing their Athletic Bilbao counterparts at Gateshead International Stadium.

The UEFA Youth League game having a 3pm kick-off, ahead of the Champions League match between the two clubs which is an 8pm kick-off at St James’ Park that night (Wednesday 5 November 2025).

Newcastle United official announcement – 27 October 2025:

‘A venue and kick-off time has been confirmed for Newcastle United Under-19s’ 2025/26 UEFA Youth League visit of Athletic Club.

The Toon teenagers will face the Spanish outfit in their final home fixture of the competition’s league phase at the Gateshead International Stadium on Wednesday, 5th November, with kick-off set at 3pm (GMT).

The young Magpies’ Youth League fixtures mirror the new format of the UEFA Champions League with an initial 36-team league phase.

They will, however, play just the first six parallel fixtures in the Youth League league phase, in contrast to the eight matches contested in the Champions League.
