Nottingham Forest’s summer has begun quietly, with Oliver Glasner into his first week and links to right-backs Dodo and Givairo Read in focus.

Viola News reports that playing in the Premier League would be a dream for Dodo, who is widely expected to leave Fiorentina this summer. Despite talks with Napoli, Roma and Inter, his situation is said to be unchanged, making a UK move increasingly possible. Forest and Newcastle United have enquired, and the 27-year-old has 12 months left on his deal, with a valuation of roughly €16-17m (£13.5-14.5m).

Dodo has made more than 100 appearances for Fiorentina. Glasner met his players on Monday and sessions have continued at the Nigel Doughty Academy as Forest prepare for 2026/27.

Voetbal International reports that a €17.5m (£15m) offer for Feyenoord right-back Read was rejected, and they expect Forest to try again. Any follow-up is likely to require a significantly higher figure.

On RTV Rijnmond, pundit Dennis van Eersel argued the opening proposal was not serious and suggested around €30m (£25m) would truly test Feyenoord’s resolve. He added that about €25m (£21m) might only be enough to start negotiations.
