Nottingham Forest have completed the deadline-day signing of left-back Luca Netz from Borussia Monchengladbach.
According to Nottingham Post, the 22-year-old has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract at the City Ground and becomes their third January addition after striker Lorenzo Lucca and goalkeeper Stefan Ortega.
Netz was due to be out of contract in Germany at the end of the campaign. The Reds have snapped him up for a reported £2 million, with add-ons and a sell-on clause included.
He joined Monchengladbach five years ago after emerging at Hertha Berlin, and has made 124 appearances, including 17 this season.
The full-back has represented Germany across youth levels, including the Under-21s. AC Milan, Lazio and Torino had been credited with interest, but he will now link up with the Reds.
Netz said the club's history and the chance to play in the Premier League excited him, adding he is ready for a new challenge and eager to start at the City Ground in front of the fans.
