FC Barcelona are taking a trip to Prague to face Slavia Prague in the Champions League, in what is a must-win encounter for Hansi Flick’s team. The Catalan club has an outside chance of finishing in the top eight if they win their remaining two games.

Unlike last season, the League Phase has not been smooth sailing for Flick’s men, due to losses against PSG and Chelsea and a draw against Club Brugge. However, the club has what it takes to win their remaining two games.

Ahead of the trip, Barcelona have announced the squad list for the match, which includes a few surprises. Firstly, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen is absent, signalling an imminent departure from the club, with Girona the next destination. In his absence, Diego Kochen joins as the third goalkeeper.

The defence is along expected lines, but Jofre Torrents comes in for Joao Cancelo from the weekend, with Cancelo yet to be registered for the latter stages of the Champions League. In midfield, Tommy Marques features yet again, despite not having made his debut.

Meanwhile, Dro Fernandez misses out along expected lines as he awaits the formalisation of his departure to PSG. The forward line has a few surprises, with two La Masia starlets getting a chance in the absence of Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres.

The former is suspended while the latter is injured, and this opens up spots for Juan Hernandez and Dani Rodriguez to be included. Dani has already played under Flick for the first team, while Juan finds a spot following some impressive performances for the reserve team.

All things considered, it is a very strong squad list from Hansi Flick, given the options available, and they should have enough firepower to get over the line against Slavia Praha.
