FC Barcelona will soon be kicking off their game against Sevilla in La Liga. Away from home this time around, Hansi Flick’s team is well aware of the pressure and the consequences of this match. Anything less than a win would be costly for Barcelona given their current league position.

Following the rather favorable result from the Madrid derby, all three points would be extremely valuable for Barça moving forward. For that reason, it seems that the German coach has decided to field a strong line-up as his team aims for victory.

Here is the official starting eleven for Barcelona that will be kicking the game off against Sevilla.

In goal, as has been the case quite regularly in recent games, is Wojciech Szczesny. The goalkeeper has been consistent in terms of the results that he has given the team this season, and he will be hoping to continue that positive streak.

The two centre-backs for this game will be Inigo Martinez and Ronald Araujo. Both players have their own unique strengths, but they will be required to execute the offside trap as well as they possibly can while ensuring good progression of the ball throughout the game.

The two fullbacks for this game will be Alejandro Balde and Jules Kounde. Both the Spaniard and the Frenchman have been amazing for Barcelona this season, and they will be looking to have an impact in this game as well.

As for the two defensive midfield positions, those will be occupied by Pedri and Frenkie de Jong. Both players will need to be alert and vigilant at all times, as keeping Sevilla at bay will be a massive priority. Simultaneously, however, they will both need to be creatively effective as well.

The players right in front of them will be Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Gavi. This trio will be tasked with more offensive orders and objectives, and they will need to ensure that the Sevilla defenders are tested to their limit and put in a complicated position.

As for the centre-forward position, that will be occupied by Polish striker Robert Lewandowski. Already confirmed by Hansi Flick himself, this is now an opportunity for the Pole to get back on the scoresheet and prove that he can still make this team work as an effective unit with him starting as well.
