Officially: Former Forest and Wolves Boss Nuno Espirito Santo Returns to PL to Manage West Ham
West Ham United confirmed on Saturday the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo as first team manager replacing Graham Potter who was dismissed earlier in the day following poor start to the Premier League season.
The Hammers endured four defeats in their opening five league fixtures including last week's home loss to Crystal Palace.
The poor run left them 19 in the table with just 3 point prompting the club's decision to act swiftly.
In its official statement, West Ham announced that Santo's signed 3 year contract. The Portuguese coach will be on the touchline for his debut on Monday night against Everton in round 6 of the PL.
Aged 51 Santo brings strong credentials. He recently guided Nottingham Forest to European competition after finishing 7th in the league and reaching the FA cup semi finals.
Previously he enjoyed successful spells with Wolves & Saudi club Al Ittihad following decorated playing career with Porto.
Speaking to the club's media, Santo expressed pride in joining West Ham vowing to deliver positive results.
