OL Lyonnes said on Monday that 16-year-old Brazilian midfielder Giovanna Waksman Costa has signed a contract running until June 2028.
She arrives injured and will continue her rehabilitation in France, with a return hoped for in the coming months.

A Brazil U17 international, Waksman will link up with compatriot Tarciane in Jonatan Giraldez’s squad.
Part of the 2009 generation, she rose quickly through Brazil’s youth ranks and stepped up to the U17s in 2024.
That year she won the South American U17 Championship, was named player of the tournament and scored five goals. The following year she played at her second U17 World Cup, opening her account in Brazil’s first match against Morocco.
