OM fans display ‘Vous êtes des merdes’ banner in silent protest at Toulouse

Marseille’s travelling support voiced their anger at the Stadium in Toulouse on Saturday night, unfurling an insulting banner before the Ligue 1 match days after their Coupe de France exit.

According to L'Équipe, 950 OM fans occupied the away section, fewer than the 1,000 expected, as their side visited seeking to reclaim third place.

In an organised protest, no supporters’ group banners were displayed, reflecting the crisis gripping the club after Wednesday’s quarter-final elimination by TFC, a 2-2 draw followed by a 3-4 defeat on penalties.

Only one message was hung on the railings, aimed at the players and reading, "Vous êtes des merdes", written in white block capitals on a black background.

The away end stayed silent when the two teams emerged.
