Paquetá ‘to be available’ for Filipe Luís as Flamengo face Corinthians | OneFootball

Lucas Paquetá landed in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday to report to Flamengo, asked to train on Friday at CT Ninho do Urubu and has a strong chance of featuring against Corinthians in the Supercopa do Brasil.

O Globo reports that he should be registered on the CBF’s Daily Bulletin on Friday, the same day as his official presentation at Ninho do Urubu, and that he should train with the squad before the Supercopa.

Flamengo have offered 42 million euros, approximately R$260 million, to West Ham for Paquetá. The English club accepted and will receive the fee in instalments through to the end of 2028.

Even before he signs a five-year contract, Flamengo have set his squad number. In tribute to Vini Jr, the midfielder will wear 20 in the coming seasons.

With the possibility of Paquetá being involved, Flamengo now turn to Sunday’s Supercopa do Brasil meeting with Corinthians at Mané Garrincha. Kick-off is at 16:00 Brasília time.
