Pedro Raul is now joint second in Corinthians’ 2026 assist standings after setting up Jesse Lingard in Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Barra in Florianópolis in the Copa do Brasil.
According to Meu Timao, he has two assists this season, level with Matheus Bidu, Kaio César and Gustavo Henrique, while Rodrigo Garro leads on six.
Raul has featured in 16 matches this year, making only his third start and his first under Fernando Diniz against Barra. The No 18 played 77 minutes, recorded 22 actions on the ball and delivered the decisive pass.
It was his first start since 25 February, when Corinthians drew 1-1 with Cruzeiro in the Campeonato Brasileiro. On that occasion, then coach Dorival Júnior selected a rotated side at the Mineirão.
Since then the striker had only come off the bench. He has not scored for Corinthians for more than a year and has four goals in 55 appearances for the club.
Next up is Vasco da Gama at the Neo Química Arena on Sunday, 26 April at 16:00, in the 13th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. Diniz’s team need a win to climb out of the relegation zone.
