Lazio extended their winning streak to three after beating their hosts, Bologna, by two unanswered goals on Sunday afternoon.

Kenneth Taylor was the ultimate star of the show with his second-half brace, but Edoardo Motta had prevented a Rossoblu opener by denying Riccardo Orsolini from the spot.

Here are our player ratings for Lazio, who overtook Bologna in the Serie A standings thanks to a 2-0 victory at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

Lazio XI (4-3-3)

Edoardo Motta – 7.5

Following his clean sheet against Milan, the young goalkeeper managed to escape unscathed once more. But this time, he had to pull off a fantastic save to deny Riccardo Orsolini’s penalty kick. While he was the one who committed the foul that resulted in the penalty-kick, it certainly wasn’t his fault.

Adam Marusic – 6

The Montenegrin was put through by Isaksen and Dele-Bashiru on three separate occasions in the first half, but lacked the quality in front of goal. Nevertheless, he held his own at the back against Jonathan Rowe and Nicolo Cambiaghi.

Mario Gila – 6.5

The Spaniard was enjoying a solid outing, but he may have overextended his leg while blocking Rowe’s cross, so his afternoon ended after just 25 minutes.

Alessio Romagnoli – 7

The returning defender showcased his leadership qualities by confidently dealing with Santiago Castro.

Nuno Tavares – 6

A mixed bag from the Portuguese left-back, who had some good moments, but also looked shaky against Orsolini and Nadir Zortea. He still has a mistake in him.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru – 5.5

The Nigerian midfielder had a decent first half, picking up Marusic with sublime through balls. However, his woeful back-pass led to a spot-kick for Bologna.

Patric – 6.5

The makeshift Regista’s distribution was hit and miss, but he was exceptional at shielding the backline.

Kenneth Taylor – 8.5

An outstanding performance from the Dutchman, who blocked Orsolini’s close-range shot in the first half, and scored two goals from his only two chances after the break. He has been Lazio’s best winter signing in years.

Gustav Isaksen – 6

The Danish winger combined well with Dele-Bashiru and Marusic. He tested Ravaglia with a sublime curler before leaving the pitch.

Daniel Maldini – 5.5

The versatile attacker was bullied off the ball on several occasions, failing to make the required impact.

Pedro – 5.5

With Lazio playing too deep in the first half, the veteran wasn’t able to make an impact, as his age prevents him from beating his marker on the sprint.

Substitutes

Oliver Provstgaard – 6.5

The Danish defender picked up from where Gila left off, making important clearances and leaving nothing to chance.

Tijjani Noslin – 6

The Dutch striker was relatively quiet, but played a role in the buildup to Taylor’s goals.

Boulaye Dia – 7

An impactful cameo from the Senegalese striker who inadvertently instigated the opener with his blocked shot, before setting up the second goal with an exquisite assist, and put Cancellieri through on a few occasions.

Matteo Cancellieri – 5.5

A lively outing from the winger, but he should have at least scored one of the three chances that came his way.
