Porto are strongly interested in signing Benfica women’s player Letícia Almeida, whose future is uncertain as she enters the final stage of her contract. The 21-year-old is drawing attention in the domestic market.
According to Glorioso 1904, Porto are monitoring the situation closely and view Almeida as an opportunity to add quality and experience already adapted to Portuguese football.
No agreement has been reached and negotiations are not concluded, but the rival’s interest is real. The club are scouring the market for options to raise the team’s competitive level.
Porto have invested consistently in women’s football and, after their recent promotion to the first division, are seeking reinforcements capable of providing stability and competitiveness at elite level.
This season for Benfica, Almeida has played in 16 matches, six in the Liga BPI, four in the Champions League, two in the Taça da Liga and four in the Taça de Portugal. Across 657 minutes, she has not recorded a goal or an assist.
