Premier League extend away ticket price cap

The Premier League has announced an extension of the £30 price cap on tickets for away supporters.

The away ticket price cap has already been in place for a decade and will now continue for at least another two years.

The Premier League’s statement read: “At a Premier League Shareholders’ meeting today, clubs unanimously agreed to extend the £30 cap on away ticket prices for a further two seasons.

“This decision means the £30 cap will have been in place for 12 consecutive seasons.

“Away fans help create the incredible atmosphere Premier League matches are renowned for. Since the cap’s implementation in 2016, it has contributed to attendance at away games increasing from 82% to 91%.

“The Premier League and clubs also acknowledge the additional costs associated with travelling to follow their teams around the country.”
