Mark has found three plays for MD15 in the Premier League
Aston Villa v ArsenalSaturday 6 December, 12:30Live on TNT Sports
Arsenal remain five points clear at the top of the Premier League table following their midweek victory against Brentford. The Gunners now face a tough test of their title credentials as they head to Aston Villa on Saturday with Unai Emery's in-form outfit suffering only five league losses in their last 40 outings at Villa Park.
Villa have turned Arsenal over in three of the last four renewals here, and have toppled the likes of Man City, PSG and Bayern Munich over the past year, so the hosts command plenty of respect. However, Arsenal are a tough nut to crack and the Gunners head to the Second City having been beaten just five times in 52 EPL assignments.
The draw appeals at 3.65, though a safer selection is to support Under 2.5 Goals at 1.82. Emery's contain and counter underdog approach lends itself to a low-scoring game and Mikel Arteta's pragmatism in big away days has seen Unders prove profitable in nine of Arsenal's 13 away trips to top-half teams since the start of last term.
Tottenham v BrentfordSaturday 6 December, 15:00
The market has little faith in Thomas Frank and his misfiring Tottenham team returning to form on Saturday. Spurs were as short as 1.48 and 1.62 in their last two home tussles with Brentford - this weekend Tottenham are 2.36 to triumph against the Bees with the market effectively rating the two teams equal.
Spurs have hugely underwhelmed under Frank's tutorship, while Tottenham's long-term home form has been diabolical - the hosts have tabled only three league wins in their last 21 home matches, keeping clean sheets in three of their previous 41 here. However, Brentford's road record also has cause for concern (W1-D0-L6).
The most straightforward selection then is to back Over 2.5 Goals at 1.90. Spurs have seen this line bank in 11 of their past 14 EPL and Champions League outings, including seven of their last eight. Despite their attacking issues, Tottenham have scored in 20 of 22 overall, yet 15 goals conceded in their last five fixtures points to problems at the back.
Meanwhile, Brentford have shipped multiple strikes in six of seven games as guests, scoring themselves in five of those away days. The Bees have seen the Over 2.5 Goals angle collect in nine of 14 overall, with Both Teams To Score also hitting on nine occasions - half of those overall 14 encounters have produced Over 3.5 Goals.
Leeds v LiverpoolSaturday 6 December, 17:30Live on Sky Sports
Struggling Leeds snapped a four-game losing streak and bagged only their second success in nine Premier League games when deservedly beating Chelsea 3-1 in midweek. Daniel Farke's troops dominated the first-half, scoring twice before the break, then showing second-half resilience to hold the Blues off before adding a decisive third.
It was the Whites' first success over a team above 13th in the Premier League for more than three years and came at a crucial time for Farke after speculation over his future intensified during the recent lean spell. The recent switch to a 3-5-2 has made a notable impact and Leeds will head into Saturday evening's clash with Liverpool feeling confident.
Liverpool needed a late own goal to rescue a point against Sunderland at Anfield and Arne Slot's beleaguered defending champions are of no interest at odds-on quotes. The Reds have W8-D2-L10 across their past 20 away days, recording just four shutouts in 21 on their travels. Across all venues, the Merseysiders are a shocking W4-D1-L9 of late.
With Leeds ranking fourth in xP on home soil, winning the xG battle in all seven Elland Road showdowns, the Whites look well worthy of our support with a +0.5 Asian Handicap start at 2.06
