Mark has found three plays for MD29 in the Premier League

Mark O'Haire's latest betting Notebook pinpoints three punting angles from the Betfair Exchange to follow across MD29 of the Premier League including Brighton v Arsenal on Wednesday...

Man City v Nottm Forest: Side with fast-starting Citizens

Manchester City came through Leeds' onslaught on Saturday to keep the pressure on Arsenal at the top of the Premier League. Pep Guardiola's posse now return to their formidable Etihad Stadium base for Wednesday night's match-up with Nottingham Forest; the Citizens have tabled 18 wins from 22 home games this season.

City have done most of their damage before half-time, making strong starts across the campaign as standard. The Blue Moon have led at the interval in 17 of those 22 Etihad encounters and have been the best side before the break in the Premier League - holding a first-half advantage in 19 of 28 tussles, including 11 of 14 as hosts.

Nottingham Forest made a sloppy start in defeat at Brighton on Sunday with the Tricky Trees potentially fatigued following their Europa League exploits. The Reds have little time to reset and have made a habit of slow starts in 2025/26, trailing at the break in nine of 14 away days, scoring just four times before the half-time oranges are shared out in those 14 EPL road trips.

With that in-mind, the odds-against offering on Man City/Man City in the HT-FT market holds plenty of appeal at 2.04.

Brighton v Arsenal: Back both sides to oblige

Brighton v ArsenalWednesday 4 March, 19:30Live on TNT Sport

Arsenal responded to Man City's success on Saturday by squeezing past Chelsea on Super Sunday to reestablish their five-point advantage at the top of the Premier League. The Gunners weren't completely convincing and now travel to a Brighton side that's only been beaten five times in 33 fixtures at The Amex under Fabian Hurzeler in the EPL.

I can leave Arsenal alone as short-priced favourites here and instead focus on goals with Both Teams To Score available to support at 1.99. The Gunners' famed defence has creaked in recent months, recording just five clean sheets in 17 against EPL or Champions League opposition, as well as four shutouts in 14 on their travels.

Brighton have refound their goalscoring boots of late and come into this clash having gotten on the scoresheet in 27/33 home league dates under Hurzeler - 73% of which bagged for BTTS backers with the Seagulls silencing only six opposition outfits during that same sample.

Meanwhile, 56% of Arsenal's away days since the start of last term have also clicked in the BTTS column, again suggesting the even-money offering on a repeat is too big to ignore.

Fulham v West Ham: Capital goals

Fulham v West HamWednesday 4 March, 19:30Live on TNT Sport

We successfully backed Over 2.5 Goals in Fulham's fixture with Tottenham on Sunday and there's no reason to divert away from the same selection when West Ham arrive at Craven Cottage in midweek. Over 2.5 Goals is trading at 1.85 and stands-out as one of the best bets across the MD29 card from the Premier League.

This selection has now paid-out in 10 of Fulham's past 11 outings, as well as nine of 14 league games at the Cottage with the same hit-rate occurring for Both Teams To Score hunters. Marco Silva's men have scored in 13 of 14 home fixtures this season, though the Whites have only managed to keep five clean sheets across the campaign thus far.

No top-flight side has managed fewer shutouts than West Ham (3), yet the Irons have shown signs of life in the attacking third. Nuno Espirito Santo's side have notched in 10 of 14 road trips, seen the Overs bank in nine of their most recent 13, as well as nine of 14 away from the London Stadium with the Hammers again impressing despite defeat at Liverpool on Saturday.

The approach of both teams, the relative recent form, as well as season-long trends suggest Over 2.5 Goals should be shorter here. And that's backed up by the underlying data which shows Fulham's last eight top-flight tussles avergaing 3.15 xG - West Ham have followed with 3.00 xG over the same period, again strongly supporting goals.
