PSG legend Presnel Kimpembe shared his thoughts on the club's journey in a recent interview.

Now based in Qatar, Presnel Kimpembe reflected on his time at PSG in a conversation with Foot Mercato. The French defender discussed a stronger, more united Paris squad. Kimpembe was asked about the differences between the PSG of the past and the team that lifted the Champions League trophy under Luis Enrique.

"Of course there has been a change, otherwise the club wouldn’t have reached where it is today. There has been a real transformation. I was lucky enough to be there at the start of the project, so to speak. Not at the end, because there will never be an end—there will always be renewal. The old PSG is simply incomparable, because today’s football isn’t the same as yesterday’s or tomorrow’s. But as I always say, eras change. I was fortunate to play alongside so many players—I won’t list them all, there were so many. I learned from everyone. Today, the club has truly refocused on collective football and on being an institution where no one is above the club. In the past, it’s true that we had strong individual personalities. Nowadays, the recruitment and the arrival of Luis Enrique have brought a new dynamic. Everyone has contributed to building this team. I’ve only had great coaches at PSG, but I feel Luis Enrique has brought something new and different as well," he said, without slighting his former teammates.
