It was a dramatic night at the Allianz Stadium for the Juventus Men’s First Team, as their Champions League campaign began with a 4-4 draw against Borussia Dortmund, and two very late goals from the Bianconeri.
Head coach Igor Tudor spoke after the match, along with Kenan Yildiz, Dusan Vlahovic and Bremer.
"It was a match where you could see the energy that was expended against Inter; at half-time, I saw some tired players. We played against a strong team with top-level players. I congratulate the lads because, at this moment, they couldn't have done any more. The last two games have been special, against important teams. Everyone who comes on does so with great spirit, which means a lot to a manager. The result is decided at the end, so the players who finish the game are very important. We’re working on the team's mentality every day in training. It's a great feeling to see that we never give up."
“I'm very pleased and happy to have scored this goal, and I'm also very happy because the team got a valuable draw. The goal? It was a bit instinctive. When the ball came to me, I saw that there was a bit of space and I went for it. We've started the season well, and there's positive energy in the dressing room. We're all trying to give everything we've got, and this spirit of sacrifice was evident again tonight.”
"These last two matches have been very useful for us. Today, given how the match unfolded, it was important not to lose, and we managed to do that. We are a young team. We need to start reading the game better and closing it out earlier. We can't concede a goal immediately after scoring. I always try to do my best; I'm never satisfied. I always have high expectations, and that's what drives me to want to improve every day. I play for one of the most important teams in the world, so it's normal that I always want to push myself beyond my limits. I'm finding balance, but I can still improve a lot."
“It's an important point we've earned, because we fought back to get it. We can't concede so many goals; we definitely need to improve in that area. In some situations, we could have been more balanced, but we're taking home the positives of how we reacted to falling behind. Vlahovic? Dusan is important to us; he's shown that in these recent matches.”
