“For us, the Italian Cup final is a major milestone. We’ll give it our all, but reaching the final is always difficult, it’s always a tough ask. Especially against a top-class side like Fiorentina. Roma are currently dominating the league and have also reached the final, so we’ll certainly approach this match with great respect for Roma, though that’s something we’ll think about later. Right now we’re enjoying this moment because, I repeat, it hasn’t been easy. It was quite a difficult time for us, but the players have responded very well and I’m very proud of them. Ana Capeta is having a fantastic season, she arrived on the final day of the transfer window to replace Cristiana Girelli and has had a huge impact on the match and on the team in general. She’s a very quiet girl, a hard worker: few words, lots of action, and we can only congratulate her.”

“We’ve worked hard this week to make sure we were ready for this match. We knew Fiorentina are a very strong side and, despite winning the first leg, we knew we were only halfway there, so we approached today’s match as if it were the second half. It was all to play for, but then we scored straight away and that goal put us on the right track. Our aim is always to go all the way in every competition. We’ve dropped a few points in the league this year, but now we still have this final to play and then the final few league matches. And yes, as I said, we always try to win everything and we hope to achieve a few more successes. Lazio are close to us in the table, but we know it’s all in our own hands and we’ll have to stay focused, imposing our style of play to win as a team.”
