Liverpool and Nottingham Forest face off at Anfield on Saturday in the Premier League.
Liverpool sit eighth in the table with 18 points, though they head into the weekend on the back of a heavy 3-0 defeat to Manchester City before the international break.
With many already writing off their chances of defending the title, Arne Slot’s side will be keen to steady the ship on home turf.
Forest, meanwhile, are starting to look a tougher proposition under Sean Dyche. They’ve put together a three-match unbeaten run in all competitions and will arrive on Merseyside looking to stretch that to four. They’re currently 19th with nine points, having beaten Leeds 3-1 last time out.
The last meeting between the sides ended in a 1-1 draw.
Charlie Webb (Anything Liverpool): The next 8 games for Liverpool are crucial, especially if they want to keep up with Manchester City and Arsenal in the Premier League title race.
However, an old foe will be returning to Anfield on Saturday, hoping to continue the Reds' poor run of form: Sean Dyche.
Despite potentially being in a relegation fight, Dyche and Forest will not make this game easy.
They were the only team to defeat Arne Slot's side at Anfield in the league last year, holding the Reds to a 1-0 defeat.
Fortunately, a lot of Liverpool players have had a great international break, Hugo Ekitike with France and Andy Robertson with Scotland, so hopefully spirits will be high.
Alisson Becker is also rumoured to be returning after a short spell on the sidelines.
Whilst Alexander Isak is fit, he did not feature much for Graham Potter on international duty with Sweden.
Even though Liverpool got put to the sword against Man City in the previous league game, this is arguably a must-win.
The Reds have the quality, and with Forest's slow start to the campaign, it would be disappointing not to walk away with all three points.
I do believe it will be a very tough gam,e but for the first time in a while, I am heading into the match with a bit of confidence!
Prediction: 3-1
Rich Ferraro (1865: The Nottingham Forest Podcast): Can Forest make it two wins in two visits to Anfield, after 50+ years of getting defeated? There is an argument that, despite league positions, Forest are on the upward trajectory and Liverpool are on a downer.
Will Forest change the team up after seeing the impact of their subs in the last match against Leeds? I don’t think so; I see Omari Hutchinson, Taiwo Awoniyi and Ryan Yates starting on the bench again, with the potential to come on after an hour or so if the match is still there to be won. This means Nico Domínguez possibly filling in on the left hand side again, allowing Neco Williams to play as an overlapping full back - the Welshman scored his first Forest goal at Anfield a couple of years ago and will be keen to create against his former club once again.
