Swansea City host Ipswich Town at the Swansea.com Stadium this Saturday in Matchweek 15 of the EFL Championship.

The Swans sit 17th in the table with 17 points so far, following a 2-1 defeat to Preston North End in their last outing under Alan Sheehan.

Ipswich Town, currently 10th with 20 points, come into the game after a 1-1 draw with Watford in their most recent fixture under Kieran McKenna.

The Swans will be hoping for a win to stay within reach of the mid-table pack, while Ipswich aim to close the gap on the play-off positions.

The last meeting between the two teams ended with Ipswich Town winning 2-1.

The Fan Zone

Luke Davies (Swans Cast): It is difficult to look at this match with much expectation of three points from a Swansea perspective.

Alan Sheehan is experiencing his first proper difficult spell in management, with his team struggling for goals, chances and points in the Championship of late. Despite a better showing away at Preston and Charlton in the last two games following a change of formation, there was still only one point to show for it.

There is an argument to be had that Swansea could have won both games, and probably should have, a Josh Key miss from point blank range costing a win at Charton, and the same player with a defensive error responsible for the deciding goal against Preston meaning points were dropped. Regardless, it just shows that Swansea are struggling to get over the line at the moment.

Ipswich have had somewhat of an upturn in fortunes of late, slowly climbing the table towards the play offs and promotion hunt, where most expected to see them this season. They put four past QPR in their last away game, so this will be a tough test for Swansea. I can see a long international break ahead for the Swans.

Prediction: 1-2

Adam Wilkin (Blue Monday): Unfortunately, Town couldn't make it nine points from nine on Tuesday night despite dominating the play and having at least three glorious chances to score having conceded a preventable goal.

Swansea represent a good chance to bounce back having excelled in the Carabao Cup, but struggled more in the league. Their patient build up play could play into the Super Blues hands as they've struggled more against more direct teams.

There was more rotation on Tuesday night, not as much as recent times but this still makes the team hard to pick. Walle-Egeli has played a lot of minutes so Kasey McAteer could come back in on the right with Ashley Young slotting back in to complement that partnership.

The other issue is at left-back where Leif Davis may not be fit. Ben Johnson deputised on Tuesday, but my personal pick would be Jacob Greaves whose cameo as a sub was barnstorming down that left side.

Prediction: 2-3
