Both sides have collected four points from their opening four games, with the Red Dragons just edging ahead of the R's on goal difference.
It has been a long time since these clubs last crossed paths. You have to go back to March 2004 for their previous meeting, when QPR ran out 2-0 winners.
Craig Jones : A great confidence boost before the international break with a perhaps surprising 2-0 win away at Millwall.
This was our first league victory of the season and has helped settle any unease amongst the Wrexham fans.
Our two best players of the season so far - Kieffer Moore and Lewis O'Brien - once again came up with the goods.
Ahead of the weekend, we have added three new players to the ranks in the form of Ben Sheaf, Issa Kabore and Dom Hyam.
Sheaf in particular feel like a very smart move to add some undoubted quality to our midfield.
Our opponents QPR also registered their first league win last time out with a good victory over Charlton, bouncing back from a horrendous 7-1 defeat to Coventry City.
They have lost both their away games this season, but have recruited very well in the summer with some exciting attacking options.
New striker Richard Koné is well known to Wrexham fans after playing for last season's promotion rivals Wycombe. He'll be keen to score for the third consecutive game for The R's no doubt.
Wrexham have a few injury concerns, with Danny Ward now a long term casualty after a bad injury at Millwall.
Nathan Broadhead and Liberato Cacace are again doubtful, with Ryan Hardie and James McClean expected to deputise if they don't make it.
I don't think Issa Kaboré and Dominic Hyam will start after being away on international duty, but Sheaf could very likely come in for Matty James or George Dobson.
Moore will no doubt lead the line again after scoring for Wales during the break.
Every game is tough at this level, but this feels like one we need to win.
With the extra additions at Phil Parkinson's disposal, I'll go for a 2-1 to the Reds, but QPR are no mugs and should be respected.
Prediction: 2-1
Ben Platt (W12Podcast): Queens Park Rangers head into their clash with Wrexham on the back of a much-needed 3-1 victory over Charlton Athletic, a result that offered some respite after a shaky start to the campaign - including a 7-1 loss to Coventry in their last away outing.
Julien Stephan's side finally found rhythm in attack, with Paul Smyth, Koki Saito and Richard Kone all on target, but question marks remain over their ability to reproduce that form away from Loftus Road.
Defensive fragility continues to be QPR’s Achilles heel, with 11 goals conceded in just four league outings so far, and their record on the road has been poor, losing every competitive away fixture this season. To avoid being overrun in North Wales, Rangers must show resilience and discipline from the outset. A much more direct approach was preferred against Charlton and that can be expected again on Saturday.
QPR may look to bring Saito in from the start and Issac Hayden is pushing for a start. Injuries continue to hamper the squad with key men Kwame Poku, Ilias Chair and Jake Clarke-Salter are still out and Paul Smyth is also unlikely to feature. Michael Frey is back in squad, though unlikely to start.
Prediction: 1-1
