PSG are reportedly ready to part ways with Brazil international centre-back Lucas Beraldo (22), according to Foot Mercato. The 22-year-old defender is currently Les Parisiens’ fifth-choice centre-back when Marquinhos, Willian Pacho, Illia Zabarnyi and Lucas Hernandez are fit.
Beraldo is yet to feature in the Champions League this season. He has only logged eight appearances sofar this season in Ligue 1. Beraldo reportedly handed in a transfer request during the Club World Cup, but his wish was not granted. It appears the situation has changed with PSG now softening their stance and considering a way out for Beraldo, who is under contract until 2028.
Selling Beraldo during the winter window would mean fresh funds for PSG to invest elsewhere in the squad. Furthermore, Beraldo is aware that he needs to play more, and at the highest level, to boost his chances to make Carlo Ancelotti’s World Cup squad with Brazil.
